Touched by Rumi: September 2020

Rumi has the ability to reach people of all backgrounds, ages, religions, and more. His wisdom sparks us to look within and influences us to view ourselves and the world in a different way. In this section of our Monthly Newsletter we ask people to show us how Rumi has affected them and their way of thinking.

This world sinks unbidden
Into a duality so profound
That finding unity is hidden
Under angry words that sound
So hard to quell
Where does peace dwell
In the heart that’s broken
In the love unspoken
Light sneaks in
Unveils the sin
Of blindness
Opening to kindness
A blazing sun
United as one
In this world of sorrow
I’d like to borrow
A little joy
