Once again a new beginning!
Take all the veils of the past and make a new garment.

Reflection on the Quote:

A message from Dr. Fariba Enteshari, Founder & Executive Director:

Ending in peace and letting the sprouts of beginning find themselves on the surface when it is time. . .
Does the ending of the old year mean the beginning of something new? Is this wishful thinking on our part or can we project a new start to coincide with the beginning of the new year?

Recently, I went through Rumi’s verses where he talks about the beginning —in hopes of finding an understanding of what the beginning means for Rumi. The vortex of meaning started to unveil in my mind so much so that I felt like a whirling dervish … with many verses circling around my head!

Once I was out of my state of being a wandering dervish it became clear to me that Rumi understood the old obstacles in life and he suggests to us to make a garment, a new fashion out of our old thinking for a new start…

Once we create something new out of the old, a new love may start to sing in our hearts, just maybe because we have attempted to make space for something else to come.

The theme of the quotes for this month is the “beginning” meaning we have four weeks of quotes that show what the new beginning meant to Rumi! After going through many verses in the book of Divine Kabir with the word “beginning” I came out of my haze knowing Love is the new start of all new beginnings. With love, we have a new song in our hearts that can influence all the aspects of our lives.

Love is the holy breath that gives a new life to who we are. Once we know love we understand the meaning of all beginnings we go through in life.
