Touched by Rumi: February 2020

Rumi has the ability to reach people of all backgrounds, ages, religions, and more. His wisdom sparks us to look within and influences us to view ourselves and the world in a different way. In this section of our Monthly Newsletter we ask people to show us how Rumi has affected them and their way of thinking.

I was really intrigued by Rumi’s idea that an enlightened person acts not on their own agenda and interpretation, but as one that acts as a mirror to whoever they interact with. But all of this is just what books and therapists tell us right? That good friends and good significant others embrace us and help us become the best versions of ourselves rather than try to change us. Rumi has been trying to explain that this entire time. We already have the tools for growth and self-discovery, but we don’t know how to use them, and I think that pointing that out is really beneficial for anyone looking to improve upon themselves, or for anyone that feels lost.
