November 2019: A Time for Harvest
/چشم آدم چون به نور پاک دید
جان و سر نامها گشتش پدید
“Once Adam saw the pure light
his inner wisdom knew the secret within”
- Rumi
Reflection on the Quote:
A message from Dr. Fariba Enteshari, Founder & Executive Director:
Spiritual practices, like meditation and reading the words of a sage like Rumi, are seeds that we plant into the garden of our heart. Sooner or later the time of harvest comes where we can enjoy the sweet fruit of wisdom grown within our own wholeness to feed and nourish not only our individual lives, but also our communities.
In my childhood, in the country of my origin, Persia/Iran, I grew up with 3 Pillars and phrases of the Zoroastrian Faith:
پندار نیک، گفتار نیک، کردار نیک
An indication that our good thoughts can form the basis for good conversations (words) leading to good actions and deeds. Thus, each person is responsible for what they think, what they utter into the world, and their actions as the result!
We are the keeper of the temple of our body, mind and soul. Teachers like Rumi help us in our personal journey to support and nourish the core of our inner lives.
Our true vision comes from the time we take for ourselves to polish our hearts and let the light of our hearts be connected to each other. We are lucky regardless of the circumstances we are in if the the richness of our hearts becomes the wisdom we use to guide ourselves and others.
In truth, the light of our hearts is the light of inner wisdom that leads our vision in the world.
