Reflection on the Quote:
A message from Dr. Fariba Enteshari, Founder & Executive Director
You are the holy breath. Awake in your true nature.
The voice of master teacher, Rumi, is reverberating throughout the years, whispering in our ears. Rumi recites 60,000 verses as reminders to our forgetfulness. He draws a line between eternity and to where we stand now.
Word by word he drops hints for us to search for the treasure within.
He puts a ladder of hope on our paths to invite us to take steps to our better nature, to our true self.
In the verse above, he vocalizes that each of us is entrusted with seeds of truth as a safe keeper. As we are impregnated with the truth, he comes to our aid as a midwife to help give brith to the core of our being. Patiently, he takes our hands, tells us stories of an upheaval that leads to the birth of our soul.
Only if we listen.
Only if we search.
Two steps that he has no influence on.
In fact, he tells us that if we do not have the need of knowing more, that if we think life as it is should be enough then there is no teacher to entice us to do so. The gates of mysticism do not open if we are not searching.
But if we are searching, know that listening is the next step that he invites us to practice. A deep listening to the inner self opens the door to learning a new language, the language of the inner knowing. To listen, we ought to become an empty vessel where the spirit can reside. The chatter of this world can wait at the door of our perception to make a space for an awareness that can receive the gifts of teachers like Rumi who passionately wait for us throughout the centuries to join in.
